BW3 is pleased to announce that Haveley Hey Primary School has been chosen as the BW3 Primary School of the Year. The school will benefit from a whole year of support from our business members and volunteers.

Typical input would involve provision of design and marketing expertise, and events that engage the students with the world of work such as our What’s My Job workshop.

The BW3 Primary School of the Year also benefits from our mentoring project where 6th form student mentees become mentors to younger students. This helps to ease the transition from their last year in primary education to the start of high school.

The committee were impressed with the school’s commitment to raise aspirations throughout the curriculum including the development of a passport for learning – Our Futures.

With a large percentage of parents at the school not in work, Haveley Hey realises the importance of engaging children in careers education. Part of the school’s involvement plan will be around improving relationships with parents and BW3 looks forward to supporting this work.

If your school would like to apply for the 2019/20 academic year, please visit the School of the Year page and complete the form.
