
At BW3’s forth virtual WBG we are delighted to be joined by Collette Roche Manchester United’s Chief Operating Officer for a question and answer session chaired by Adam Jupp, Communications Director, Manchester Airports Group
Collette Roche joined Manchester United as Chief Operating Officer in May 2018. Prior to this Collette has held a number of senior leadership roles across a variety of sectors with several international companies including Ford Motor Group, Siemens and United Utilities. She joined from the Manchester Airport Group (MAG), where she was part of the Executive Team responsible for doubling the value of the group over a 5-year period. She served in a variety of roles at MAG, including MD, Manchester Airport and MAG Chief of Staff & Strategy.

Marie Carmody, Cardinal Maritime – Wythenshawe company Cardinal has been providing expert pioneering logistics for more than 20 years and are the UK’s fastest-growing logistics business, with offices all over the world. Marie will be talking about their successful apprenticeship programme and how, as a business, it is important to them to give back and support the local area.
Chris Howes, Read Easy – Read Easy is a national charity that provides 1 2 1 coaching for adults who find reading a challenge. The Wythenshawe group was the first to be set up in the north in July 2019 and is now one of 38 groups nationally. They are looking to expand their offer in Wythenshawe by recruiting more coaches. All volunteers receive formal training, support materials and methods to support their assigned reader to succeed.
Michelle Humphries, Director of Strategic Projects, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust – Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust have developed a Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for the Wythenshawe Hospital site. The SRF sets out the vision for the future of the site which has a redeveloped hospital at its heart but also incorporates plans to provide zones for commercial and residential uses which add value back into the hospital and increase job opportunities for local people. MFT are currently consulting with the local community and welcome the views of local businesses.
