Volunteering

or gifting opportunities

World Book Day

Every year to support the national work book day we invite readers from local businesses to go into school to read a much loved book to a primary school class.  Dressing up as your favourite character is not obligatory, so go as you are, just expect to have a fun and rewarding hour helping to nourish a child’s love of books.

Community landscaping and gardening projects

If you like getting your hands dirty and seeing the impact of your work, schools and community groups would love to offer projects for team building days to lunchtime digs.  Want to inspire future gardeners or come to the rescue of a school needing an outside classroom to enable them to teach their growing numbers of pupils?  We have adhoc volunteering opportunities like this thought the year.

Like all charities, we rely on donations and we reach out to local businesses when needed to support Christmas present appeals, computers for schools, reading book donations – this might be a way for you and your colleagues to help and give back to the local community.
