BW3 were delighted to host another successful Wythenshawe Business Gateway event on Thursday 25th September, bringing together local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders for an evening of networking, insight, and collaboration.
Our guest speaker was Phil Jones MBE, Managing Director of Brother UK, who joined BW3 Chair Adam Jupp for a lively Q&A. Phil was an outstanding speaker — or, as guests described him, “practivational” — sharing both practical insights and motivational advice. His reflections on leadership, building a career, and the importance of businesses staying connected to their communities gave attendees plenty of valuable takeaways.
The event also welcomed Timber Barker, CEO of BOOM Interactive, who introduced his innovative AI business and shared his passion for inspiring young people with future-focused skills — a perfect match for the BW3 mission.
👏 Thank you to everyone who joined us, to Nina for raising awareness of BW3’s initiatives and membership opportunities, and to our excellent host Martin Howe and the team at Wythenshawe Football Club for making us so welcome.
The Wythenshawe Business Gateway is much more than a networking event. It’s a place to meet like-minded businesses and organisations, hear about the issues affecting both business and the local community, and explore how businesses can give back and help raise aspirations among young people.
Held every two months at different venues across the Wythenshawe area, the Gateway is open to all — offering a relaxed, welcoming space to connect, collaborate, and share ideas.
📅 We now look ahead to our final Wythenshawe Business Gateway of 2025 on Thursday 27th November at the Delta by Marriott Hotel Manchester Airport, with guest speakers Chris Woodroofe, Managing Director of Manchester Airports Group, and Muse, who will provide an update on the exciting Wythenshawe Town Centre Redevelopment plans.
