🚒 Pull an Engine for BW3!

Help raise aspirations for young people in Wythenshawe

What’s it all about?

Think you’re tough enough to take on a fire engine? Get together with friends or colleagues and enter the BW3 Fire Engine Pull!

You’ll compete in teams of six to pull a fire engine 20 metres — in the fastest time possible. It’s great fun, a brilliant team challenge, and all in aid of BW3’s mission to raise aspirations in Wythenshawe.

🎯 Fundraising Target:
We ask each competitor to raise a minimum of £100, including a £20 sign-up fee.
That’s £600 per team – but if you can raise more, even better!

How does it work?

  • Teams of 6 compete to pull a fire engine 20 metres using a traditional manila rope

  • Fastest time wins!

  • Chalk will be provided – you may also want to bring your own gloves

How to enter:

  1. Nominate a Team Leader

    • They’ll create a team fundraising page on JustGiving linked to the official BW3 campaign

  2. Create individual fundraising pages

    • Each teammate sets up their own page, connected to the team page

    • This is where each person pays their £20 sign-up fee and collects sponsorship

  3. Complete the registration form

    • Each team member must submit their own form

    • Once all forms and sign-up fees are received, your team is officially entered
